Being a part of the COMPEL leadership team has blessed me in so many ways. I am so blessed to be a part of a group that doesn’t just talk about prayer, but that earnestly prays for each participant, speaker, etc. The women that surround me on this team as well as the women I meet each year at the conference are truly amazing. In addition to leading COMPEL, I work at a ministry called ATLAS in Sioux Center, where we walk alongside the hurting as they face life challenges. As an Adjunct Professor at Dordt College, I am able to help students learn how to be Christian in the marketplace. I am also President of Simply Grace Ministries, a non-profit fousing on loving and putting hands and feet to Jesus. Through this ministry I am able to reach out in so many ways. I enjoy speaking to groups and leading retreats. I have been blessed by being a 2009 and 2012 graduate of the Proverbs 31 She Speaks conference, and a finalist in the 2014 Re:Write Contest. I am married to my best friend Tom and together we are active parents of three small children and two loving adult children. We value family time and serving the Lord. God has also given me a passion for praying for Human Trafficking and Orphans and am blessed to lead a prayer meeting weekly for this, as well as speak and advocate. I wear dresses all of December in Iowa and pray for trafficking at the SuperBowl venue each year. Prior to committing my life to ministry work, I was worked in the corporate world as a HR Professional. I have been able to use this experience to do some consulting work, and am currently working on a book that teaches others how to incorporate their faith at work. Social Media CoordinatorAn active mom of five, and a loving supportive wife, Becky has a life that is full and rewarding. Whether behind the keyboard leading worship, or working alongside her husband in his lawncare business, Becky is sure to be smiling. Her talent and ability to find the perfect song, or to envision just the right graphic are what gives COMPEL the feel we have. Becky handles all of our Social Media efforts and is the “voice” many of you get to know at COMPEL. She’s always open for suggestions and welcomes to hear from you if you are following along!
I am a lover of Jesus Christ, a wife to Scott, and a mom to Karynna, Josiah, Micah, and Annika. I have a home full of laughter and noise, dirty dishes and laundry, and love and grace. I cook, clean, bake, snuggle, chauffeur, teach, fix, hug, play…and wouldn’t trade any of it because it allows me to fulfill my mission of teaching our children about their Savior. I came to Northwest Iowa in March 2012 when my husband was called to be the senior pastor at Alton Reformed Church. Prior to moving to Alton, we lived and ministered in Fulton, Illinois. Being a “stay-at-home mom” to our kids allows me the opportunity to volunteer in the school, be a room mom, and take an active part in ministry at our church. Seeing women grow in their faith and connect with one another is a passion of mine, which led me to be the Women’s Ministry Coordinator at our church. I also enjoy being a Praise Team leader, coordinating outreach and fellowship events, and being a part of our church’s Connect and Share teams. Just as my husband has been called to be a pastor, I feel equally called to be a “pastor’s wife” and I love serving Him in that role. What a privilege it is to be a part of the Compel Leadership team! The passion and excitement around this conference is so amazing and I am eager to see what God will do and teach us through Compel!

Assistant to the Coordinator
Assistant to the SpeakerThis small town cattle feeders wife welcomes our speaker each year with her warmth and attention to detail. Behind the scenes, Jill does whatever it takes to ensure our speaker is comfortable and has what they need. She covers them in prayers, and ministers to them in her sweet style. Jill and her husband Lyle have two daughters and a son who span from elementary school to high school. Next to loving the Lord, being a great mom and wife are Jill’s priorities. Believe it or not, Jill loves to clean and has her own niche in cleaning newly built homes. She is also a phenomenal decorator and can use spray paint to make anything look terrific!
